Brunch at 9:30, so the wait that others complained about didn't happen. My huevos rancheros were the bomb for a measly 10. I'll be back! My server was super sweet.

I've only been here two times but the food is great and service is even better. Their pancakes are huge and I love their salsa. Their restaurant is very clean and I like to go there for breakfast.

Delicious every time! You can’t go wrong with this place, it’s always amazing. The servers are so sweet and are attentive Huevos rancheros is a must! They have great salsa. You can taste the love in the food. My family always love coming here. They do charge for chips and salads now but I guess you can blame them because of inflation.

Every time I go there it's fantastic food and sweet people doing their job of serving me. Never disappointing, except for the fact they don't serve dinner. Best of all the Mexican restaurants around!

Welcome to El Coronado Family Restaurant, a beloved local gem nestled on 409 W Main St in Safford, Arizona. This charming establishment invites you and your family to indulge in a delightful culinary experience that reflects the warm essence of home-cooked meals and attentive service. At El Coronado, every visit feels like a gathering of friends and family, where the atmosphere is as inviting as the menu is diverse.

As a food reviewer for Res Menu, I’ve had the pleasure of exploring the vibrant offerings of El Coronado, and I can confidently say that this restaurant excels in delivering comfort through its flavorful dishes. With lunch specials such as Albondigas served with a warm flour tortilla at just $5.99, and hearty Menudo for $6.99, it’s clear that they prioritize both quality and affordability. The flavors here resonate with tradition, making every bite a true homage to authentic family fare.

  • Lunch & Misc Soups: From the rich Menudo (available in a large bowl for $8.99) to the comforting Potato Soup, there’s something for every palate.
  • Kid's Menu: The kiddie's burro selections, such as the Emilio Special Bean Burro for $3.99, ensure that little ones are also satisfied.
  • Beverages: Sipping on a refreshing Herbal Tea or indulging in a creamy Hot Chocolate at very reasonable prices complements the meal perfectly.

Customer feedback highlights the satisfaction that comes with every visit. Kristin Wallentine mentions the incredible huevos rancheros for a mere $10, calling them “the bomb.” This simple, yet beloved dish is a clear must-try for all breakfast lovers. Meanwhile, Gianna Ciancimino emphasizes the consistent quality of the food, noting, “You can taste the love in the food.” This sentiment echoes among many reviewers, who appreciate the cozy environment and the friendly, attentive staff.

It’s not just about food at El Coronado; it’s about building connections through great meals and friendly service. As Chris Barnard reflected on his visit after an Honors band concert, this place stands out as a “small-town family diner” where the tacos and salsa shine brilliantly. And while recent reviews note a small charge for chips and salads, it’s a testament to the economic shifts we face today, rather than a dip in quality.

If you find yourself in Safford, do yourself a favor and visit El Coronado Family Restaurant. Revel in the authentic flavors, warm atmosphere, and exceptional service that make it truly special. Your taste buds will thank you!
